Overview

Netfilter is a free/opensource software community-driven project, launched in 1998, that provides firewalling tools for the GNU/Linux operating system. The Netfilter Workshop (NFWS) is the main event organized for and by the Netfilter developers community. During the workshop days, Linux kernel networking and Netfilter developers meet and discuss the status of the on-going Netfilter-related developments and the plans for the near future.

Following the lastest successful NFWS in Budapest, Hungary. We are happy to announce that the next event in these series will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in dates June 27th to July 1st in 2016.

This event will be hosted by the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). The user day is scheduled on June 27th, registration is now opened through this link.

Call for participation

Attendance is free but it requires an invitation. You may consider attending if you are involved in any aspect of the Linux networking development, and more specifically the development of Netfilter and the Linux Virtual Server projects. We also welcome presentations on Netfilter-related third party software (using our framework and libraries) as long as they are released under a free/opensource license. Your proposal must include a title, short abstract (500 words maximum) and estimated time to present it.

Please, send us an email to coreteam@netfilter.org before 15th April (strict deadline) indicating why you would qualify to attend. We have a very limited number of invitations!
