By plane, from within europe

The best option to get to Freiburg by plane is EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL MLH EAP), a bus is driving to Freiburg train station every full hour, takes 60 minutes and costs something around 16-20 Euro. This should work well for people coming from within europe, but there aren't a lot of international flights going to Basel.

By plane, international flights

For international flights, the best option is Frankfurt (FRA), an ICE train is driving from the underground train station to Freiburg, takes about two hours and should costs roughly 50 Euro.

By train

ICEs are driving to Freiburg every hour.

Getting from the train station to the Hotel

In all cases, you'll arrive at Freiburg main train station. From there you can take a taxi to the Hotel for an estimated 6-8 Euros. Taxis are waiting in front of the train station.

Alternatively you can use public transportation:

  • at the train station, take tram line 1, direction "Littenweiler"
  • get out at "Oberlinden", IIRC 3 stops from the train station
  • walk into the street called "Herrenstraße" on the left hand side,
the hotel is located on the right hand side after 50 meters.

Or you can just walk; the hotel is 0.95 km (10–15 min walk) from the railway station. Gmaps - note the dent Gmaps is adding to the route, because it probably does not know about pedestrian crossings.
