The Netfilter project is a free software project that is well-known for providing iptables, the popular firewalling tool for Linux™. However, this project offers much more: a framework for packet handling, mangling and logging; several kernel subsystem that enable stateful inspection; and many other userspace tools and libraries.
Since the Netfilter Workshop (NFWS) series were established in 2001, the NFWS has provided a space for discussing on-going research and development in firewalling for Linux™.
Following the latest successful Netfilter Workshop in Karlsruhe, Germany, we are happy to announce the next event in this series will take place in Paris, France, from September 29th to October 3th, 2008.
